Post your 5 horses in this thread.

1. The 2009 fantasy stable will consist of 5 horses.
2. The 5 horses can be any age and any sex
3. Each player will be able to make a total of 5 changes to their fantasy stable throughout 2009. Once the 5 change limit is reached there will be no additional changes possible.
4. Scoring will be similar to last year. (see below)
5. You can sign up at any time and all races count.
6. Credit prizes will be 1,500 for 1st, 1,000 for 2nd and 300 for 3rd.
Contest starts this week.

GRADED STAKES---1ST--80 POINTS, 2ND--60 POINTS, 3RD--40 POINTS
OVERNITE STAKES---1ST--60 POINTS, 2ND--40 POINTS, 3RD--30 POINTS
OPEN ALLOWANCES---1ST--45 POINTS, 2ND--25 POINTS, 3RD--20 POINTS
MSW AND RESTRICTED ALLOWANCES---1ST--35 POINTS, 2ND--20 POINTS, 3RD--15 POINTS

i didn't play last year, so parden the dumb question.

am i basically looking for my 5 best horses?

Yeah Chuck you want the horses that will score the most points. So graded and stake performers. Or solid allowance types that hit the board frequently.

Another strategy could be younger horses that show potential and could win their way through the allowance ranks, racking up a lot of points. I have 1 of my 5 this type currently.

You don't want claimers or Starter allowance horses - no points for those races. (Although if most of the residents feel these races should be included, I'll add them)

No problem Gary, you can add the 5th whenever you want.

But you may want to replace the 2YO with an older horse, since 2YO don't start racing until February on a limited basis (only player sponsored races) and are not common until around April.

Do they have to be horses from my stable, or can they be from any stable...

Horses must be from stables that you own, and that support the MN res only.
