This girl has some talent - Sweeper Er. I was thinking of trying her in a graded race next. There is a 11F G3 in 6 weeks and a 12f G1 in 7 weeks. I think she needs the extra furlong, but I am not sure she is ready for G1. Of course I could always look for a light stakes race to try and keep her streak alive. She is groggy so the tag team races are out.
Any advice?

| Streaks are nice...but...this horse looks legit. If it were me, I would want to see whats under the hood against even better foes. This horse is bred to take on the best. Go for the Graded races and see if you can strike while the iron is hot. Any long route type distance should work out fine. I think she is easily ready. You only get so many quality starts from these things. I wouldn't waste them on lesser talent without finding out what you really have. She has made mince meat of the lesser stuff. Step her up! GL |

I agree with Fab on this one. I am in the same boat with my 3YO colt NOWTHATSAPLANMAN who won handily in the minny-ohio competition and will now step up against the big boys in the 9f turf division for sophomore colts.

i read this and i could have sworn i had responded already but alas i must have done that in my imagination
i would certainly head to graded stakes with the next race. i think i head towards the G3 but you couldn't really go wrong either way depending on which other horses draw in with you |

Thanks for the feedback. I obviously spent a lot of points on this one but the last few blue bloods I had did not work out too well. We'll see how the fields look. I really think she needs the extra furlong in the G1.
