Anyone going to the Belmont?I'm probably going to head down from Boston, it's hard to stay away from my second favorite track for this Belmont Stakes.

it was fun. I was hoping big brown would lose, so that part didn't ruin it for me. It would have been nice if i had won even 1 bet all day, but alas my standard for losing goes unmatched yet again!

Glad you had fun anyway. I live in Bedford MA so if Darnath can make it to Belmont then I should be able to. One of these days I will convince my wife this horse racing hobby is worth the trip

I'm on the north shore so it's even further for me I got back home at 1 am Sat night.
My wife and I have tried going to the track together but she only enjoys low-key days without big crowds like the time we went to Monmouth during the week last summer. For big days like this or any day at Saratoga, I'm on my own and get to go a couple times a year. If you wanted to share a ride to Saratoga this summer I'm always looking for an excuse to go

I'd look for a hotel north of saratoga, easier access to the track although they are always packed during racing season. I can find out the name of the hotel I used to stay at if your interested.
Recently I've been staying with relatives if I spend a night in the area.
