Hi EverybodyHey all,
First let me apologize for not getting in touch with you guys this summer but as you all must know it has been a crazy one for me my brother and our families.
Last year me and my brother bought 30 acres of land with 2 old houses just north of Orillia which is a town about 1 1/2 hours north of Toronto and the area where I work in. While the houses were very old and we had always planned on replacing them Mother Nature has other ideas in the springtime. Our lot has 2 streams that end up at Lake Simcoe and with the heavy snow and rainfall in the spring the streams ended up turning into a giant lake with at one point the flood level reaching as high as 18 feet. Once we got the water out of the houses we thought we could salvage them but with the old wood structure etc mold and other health issues arose. Plus our area ended up being without power and clean water for over 2 months. We decided to rebuilt 2 new houses at the back of the land parcel which is on higher ground and above the flood plain and have been hard at work with the contractors all summer. The houses, well at least the frame and outer shell and roof are now done with only the insides to be finished. We have been living in a trailer all this time with our own generated power but have just restablished hydro, phone and clean water last week and we are hoping to be getting into the new houses by xmas.
I want to thank all our great Minny residents including Chuck Theo and Dundey for keeping the place running you guys did a great job. I plan on slowly getting back into the game and will be getting my horses back to the races over the next few weeks. As for contests I will be in touch with Chuck and Johnno to see how things are going. The simwide contests I was running will have to wait for a while until I get back into the swing of things and I will procede from there. I am only posting this on the Minny boards for now until my stables are back up and running.
It feels great to be back and I hope my horses enjoyed there 4 months off at the farm in the pastures.
Cheers to all
and see you at the races

Theo- WELCOME BACK!!
Take things slow on your way back. No need to jump right in. We have things well in hand, as it has now become a true team effort. Things are better that way. We're happy to know you are alive!
One thing you need to do though is send Johnno an email. Along other things I think he has been safeguarding some 2 year olds that you bred (and I wanted to go ahead and use them as prizes )
When you are back in the swing of things and you are good and ready we can figure out whether you want to do more than just be a participant in the contests.
One thing i know is that the world just became a little bit better knowing you are back in the fold

Theo,
The timing of your post could not have been better!
I think a lot of people feared the worst since we have not heard from you in so long, so it's really great to know that you and your family are all ok.
I personally have been feeling very down tonight. My daughter broke her leg in a soccer game today, but reading what you've been through this summer put that in perspective for me. She will heal, just as you have survived a terrible ordeal.
Welcome back!!
Chuck and Johnno have done a fantastic job keeping this place going and we'll all be happy to see you back racing soon!

Theo,
Welcome back. I have been away much of the summer and had very little time to do anything except enter horses. However, I just read your post and I am thrilled to see that you are ok! God bless you and yours.
