MESSAGE FROM THEOHi Everybody,
Thanks you for your concerns and I appologize for not getting back to you all sooner. The past week and what looks to be the upcoming week have been very trying as me and my brother attmept to save our homes from massive flooding caused by spring thaw runoff and record level snowpacks. We have no power or phone in our neighbourhoods right now and there is still about a foot of water in our basements and our streets are still underwater. We expect the water levels to go down this weeks and hopefully can have everything back to livable conditions by next weekend. It has been a trying time with making and placing sandbags and pumping water out.
As a result I will not be able to look after either Minnesota or the sim wide contests for at least 2 more weeks until I can get things back up to speed. I will post this message on both the Minny and EAAA boards. If anyone there wants to post the entry threads for the next 2 weeks that would be very helpfull and I will update the web pages and pay out any prizes upon my return.
As for the simcup08 contest and the sim handicapping contest I will be restarting those competitions in 2 weeks on May 3rd and will just move everything ahead by the missed 3 weeks.
For the Derby Fantasy Stable contest you can continue to email any stable changes and the pages will be updated when I return.
Thanks for everybody's concerns and sorry about the site delays but mother nature has a habit of letting everyone know who's boss from time to time.
Unfortunately I am unable to do much from work on the game and sites due to the firewalls in place there.
I will be back in 2 weeks and will straighten everything back up upon my return.

Theo, Glad to see you are okay. Been through the same thing myself around this time last year, in Newcastle Australia. People from aus will probably have heard about our floods.
Hope all is well.

It's good to hear you are ok.
As for your misfortune I was lucky in the Hull floods last June but I know people who were not, at the end of the day though things can be replaced as others have said so wisely.
I suppose the real question is.....with all the prayers offered by your friends in the sim who prayed to a snowglobe?
